Hand finished in Spain

Large baroque keshi freshwater cultured pearl earrings measuring 16-17 mm in sterling silver plated with 18K gold, finished with a beautiful lapis lazuli stone, which gives them a unique and original touch.

Keshi type freshwater pearls are very special pearls, they tend to be flat, especially in larger sizes, and their intense luster and baroque shape are the most notable characteristics.

In addition to their characteristics, the cultivation process of these pearls is also very special. To cultivate traditional pearls, a piece of mantle tissue from a donor mussel is included in a mussel, and it is returned to the water so that it can be surrounded by nacre and create a pearl. Two years later, when it is taken out of the water to extract the pearls it has created, in some cases, if the obtained pearls are of good quality, the mussel is closed again and returned to the water for another long period, but this time without including any nucleus. Since the pearl sac has already formed the first time, the mussel continues to generate nacre, which results in a wonderful Keshi freshwater pearl.

At Secret & You, we are proud to be one of the few brands that offer this type of high-quality pearls.
