This Edison freshwater cultured pearl necklace, 43 cm long and of AAA quality, features pearls with a very clean surface, a very intense luster, and a very round shape, which is difficult to achieve in freshwater pearls.
The pearls range from 11 to 12 mm, with the largest ones being in the center of the necklace.
Edison pearls have been discovered in recent years and represent a recent innovation in the category of freshwater pearls. Instead of cultivating these pearls with a tissue graft like all other freshwater pearls, a spherical nucleus is used. This is the method used to cultivate the most exotic saltwater pearls. The results are simply amazing. To the untrained eye, the pearls are practically identical to those from the Australian South Sea, the most valuable pearls in the world.
The necklace is strung on silk with a knot between each pearl to prevent them from rubbing against each other. The 18-karat gold clasp is equipped with a safety latch to ensure the necklace is always protected.
