This 45 cm long, AA+ quality Edison cultured freshwater pearl necklace features 29 pearls with a very clean surface, very intense luster and very round shape.
The large pearls range from 13 to 16 mm, the largest being those in the center of the necklace.
Edison pearls have been discovered in recent years and represent a recent innovation in the freshwater pearl category. Instead of growing these pearls with a tissue graft from a donor mussel, like all other freshwater pearls, a spherical core is used. This is the method used to farm the most exotic saltwater pearls. The results are simply amazing. Pearls to non-expert eyes are practically identical to those of the Australian South Sea, the most valuable pearls in the world.
The necklace is threaded in silk with a knot between each pearl to prevent them from rubbing against each other. The 18-carat gold clasp is equipped with a safety tab so that the necklace is always protected.
