This AA+ quality 43cm long Edison cultured freshwater pearl necklace features 32 pearls with a very clean surface, very high luster and very round shape, which is hard to find in freshwater pearls .
The pearls range from 12 to 14 mm, the largest being the ones in the center of the necklace.
Edison pearls have been discovered in recent years and represent a recent innovation in the freshwater pearl category. Instead of growing these pearls with a tissue graft like all other freshwater pearls, a spherical core is used. This is the method used to farm the most exotic saltwater pearls. The results are simply amazing. Pearls to non-expert eyes are practically identical to those of the Australian South Sea, the most valuable pearls in the world.
The necklace is threaded in silk with a knot between each pearl to prevent them from rubbing against each other. The 18-carat gold clasp is equipped with a safety tab so that the necklace is always protected.
