How to care for pearls

Cultured pearls are relatively soft compared to other gemstones and precious metals. It is important to take extra care to ensure that they remain bright and beautiful for years to come.

Use your pearls often, pearls absorb natural oils from the skin and this keeps them hydrated and shiny, however try not to wear them while playing sports as sweat is acidic and can dull their shine over time .

Always keep your pearls separate from other hard jewelry, such as metals and other precious stones, to prevent scratching. Ideally, keep them in their box, in a cloth bag or in a separate jewelry box.
